Turning What The People Say Into What Service Do
This is a two year project, which started in April 2007, to bring together what is already known about what young people want from services, building upon proevious work by the full range of statutory and voluntary agencies. Analysis of the CAMHS self assessment matrix shows that the biggest challenges facing both commissioners and providers are user involvement and engagement of BME groups. In addition it is known that many vunerable young people do not choose to use CAMHS because they feel it is not appropriate for their age/culture/interests. This project addresses specifically the needs of this group and will transform the young people's voices into service choices.
